Your way to Sixt at Heathrow Terminal 5: 1. After leaving the baggage claim area please follow the sign UK Arrivals, car rental, Sofitel straight ahead. 2. You will then pass the exits of Heathrow Express and London Underground on your left hand side. 3. After that you will see the exit that leads to the local buses, car rental buses and taxis. Please do not take this exit but head to the elevators in front. 4. Inside you will find a Sofitel button that brings you to the first floor. 5. Upstairs please turn right and follow the long hallway straight ahead. 6. You will find the Sixt counter at its end on your left hand side.Returns information: 1. When returning your hire car at Heathrow Terminal 5 please take exit number 14 when leaving the M25. 2. After 0.7 miles you will arrive at a large roundabout, take the second exit to Terminal 5, short stay. 3. Please follow the road and stay left at the sign saying Overheight vehicles, Sofitel Hotel. 4. Shortly after that you will find a direction sign saying Overheight vehicles, Sofitel Hotel, take this exit. 5. Then please stay left again. 6. You will see the Sofitel Hotel in front of you. Follow the street around the hotel until you see a sign leading you to the left into the Hotel Car Park. 7. Please enter the car park. You will find the Sixt parking spaces near the car park entrance.

Debit cards must be issued by a bank, and numbers must be embossed. Please note, the deposit amount will be charged if using a debit card, and associated transaction fees may apply. Maximum rental duration is 28 days if using a debit card. Prepaid and electronic cards (Visa Electron) are not accepted.

Customers who fall outside the age limitations will not be able to rent a car unless there is a young or senior driver fee specified in this section. Please note that, if applicable, this fee will be included in the rental price and will be payable on arrival at the rental desk in the local currency.
Travel Restrictions
Third party insurance;
Special conditions apply to the terms of SIXT's third party insurance for anyone whose primary occupation is a Restricted Profession. The professions include, professional sports people, professional actors, musicians, TV personalities and/or Royalties. Please contact SIXT Customer Service for further details.
Cross border rentals and territorial restrictions:
Territorial restrictions
Commercial vehicles, categories P***, L*** and X*** and MPV (8+ seats) are permitted overseas to the island of Ireland and within the British Isles. They are not permitted to go to mainland Europe.
The vehicle selection can restrict travel to certain countries. For a description of these restrictions on admission, the countries are divided into three zones.
Zone 1: Andorra, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Gibraltar, Great Britain, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, San Marino, Sweden, Switzerland, Spain and Vatican
Zone 2: Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia
Zone 3: All countries which are not in zone 1 or 2.
Mercedes Benz, BMW, Audi, Volvo, Jaguar, Land Rover, Mini are only allowed to enter Zone 1 countries (except of above mentioned car groups).
Entry into any country in zone 3 is not permitted.
The transport of the vehicle by ferry is permitted in compliance with the above-mentioned entry restrictions. Damage to the vehicle during the crossing will be covered according to the protection booked in the rental contract, except damages due to external effects like heavy seas or sinking.
In case of offence against cross border and territorial restrictions all insurances lose their validity.
UK & Ireland Revovery for Ireland, Northern Ireland and the British Isles
A UK & Ireland Recovery applies for all rentals to the island of Ireland and the British Isles (mandatory).
The UK & Ireland Recovery Fee authorizes for trips to the island of Ireland and the British Isles. The Fee per rental is 36,00 GBP.
Continental Breakdown Charge:
A Continental Breakdown Charge applies for all rentals outside UK (mandatory).
A surcharge of £ 57.96 to £ 124.83 per rental applies for 1-31 day rentals (dependng on the length of your rental) and £226.54 for 31+ day rentals. No charge apples to travel to Northern Ireland.
There is also a "foreign use" charge which is 60% of the total rental cost.

Congestion Charge:
There are some cities in the UK, for example London and Durham, that charge congestion fees for driving in and through them. The renter is responsible for checking the congestion terms and is liable for the payment of such fees. For rentals commencing from a branch within a Congestion Zone, the Congestion Charge will automatically be applied to the rental agreement to cover the first day of hire. You will remain liable for the payment of congestion fees for any other additional days.
In case of non or late payment, additional fees may be incurred which the renter will be liable for. An administration fee of 40.00 GBP will apply for every transaction handled by Sixt.
The congestion charge is only boobkable at the station!
It shall not be sold at the call centre!
